Our client, a Liverpool based chemical manufacture, require a Mechanical fitter to start ASAP. You will be responsible for conducting all pre-planned and break down maintenance on site. Reporting directly to the Engineering manager, you will be responsible for accounting for both your time, and your assistants, insuring all work is completed efficiently to ensure minimal disruption to production.
You will be working on distribution lines, motors, pumps and valves in addition to other plant and machinery on site. Previous experience of working in a similar role, either with in the process and /or chemical industry is essential. As some repairs will involve electrical knowledge, a 70% mechanical and 30% electrical bias is preferable. This is a long term temporary position, working days, with possible overtime at weekends, £12.00 Ltd per hour (standard). For the right candidate, this role may lead to a permanent position.
